  Ariel presented some really fascinating videos depicting the future of AR and Apple. She showed us a collection of videos from artists and the possibilities for artists to be able to present their work in a much more realistic environment. The video of the lady walking around new york with her phone displaying all the animations was amazing, the future for AR and VR technology looks very exciting for artists. The picture above is from a video in Ariel's presentation by Keiichi Matsuda he created an idea of what the future could look like in terms of Augmented Reality. Ariel also hinted the possibility of the apple glasses being seen to consumers soon it will be interesting to see if they will eventually look anything like Keiichi Matsudas video.   

         The Social Dilemma directed by Jeff Orlowiski was released in 2020 on Netflix. The documentary focuses on interviews with previous employees of large tech companies such as Facebook, Google, and Twitter. The people being interviewed gave us, the viewers, an inside look at the scary realty of how these big tech companies aspire to get consumers addicted to their products or services without any care for the impact it could have on people.        This documentary is worth watching even if you don’t use much tech. These large companies still perceivably rule the online world, and the Social Dilemma gives such a detailed inside look at the reality of what some large tech companies don't want their consumers to see but what they deserve to see. As a consumer myself and someone that uses all the company’s applications it was very eye opening at how deceiving they really are.

Technology is advancing faster than ever before, we live in an age where we heavily rely on technology. Technology was created to help make things easier and connect us together, but as Sherry explains "our little devices are so physiologically powerful that they don't only change what we do, they change who we are". This ted talk is from 2012 and since then we have continued to advance so much so that technology has taken a mind of its own with the future of technology not only being able to gather the information we provide but soon adapt our feelings as well with VR and AR technology. I use a lot of technology and spend most of my time using it such as, video games, entertainment, a source of information, and connecting to people. Due to the pandemic, I have definitely spent more time using technology than before and have come to rely on it more then I ever have. 

  After watching Marshall Mcluhans lecture from 1977 on ABC TV, it is clear this man was a genius. Mcluhan talks about many ideas that are still relatable today. One of those ideas as quoted from Mcluhan "Any painter, any poet, any musician sets a trap for your attention. That is the nature of art". As a consumer of art, media and  music, I  agree with this, much of what is produced today is meant to trap the  consumer and has lost much of its creativity . An example being NFT digital art  which has had huge success in 2021. There is not much unique about this form of  art until you realize the price of some of them venturing into the millions.  Cryptopunk 9998 was sold for over 500 million dollars back to its original owner  causing what some call a publicity stunt to trap consumers attention that this new a ge of digital is becoming huge.
